In 2024, Missouri Medicine: The Journal of the Missouri State Medical Association celebrates 120 years of health and medical publication.  With a large, respected editorial board and regular participation by Missouri’s six outstanding medical schools on eight campuses, Missouri Medicine is among the nation’s foremost state medical journals.

Missouri Medicine is peer-reviewed and indexed by the world’s most respected databases: Index Medicus, MEDLINE, PubMed, ProQuest, and Scopus. Past issues are archived at PubMed Central since 2010 and content also appears in EBSCO Research Databases.

Articles are frequently cited by high impact-factor journals and featured in national media. Manuscripts are submitted from across the United States and other countries. Issues of Missouri Medicine are printed on acid–free paper.

Members receive Missouri Medicine as part of their benefit of membership. Annual subscription price for non-members is $120.00.  Single, entire issues are $15.00, if available. Printed mail count runs between 2,000 and 2,500 per issue.
