Who is your elected representative and senator? Is he/she a Republican or a Democrat? Does he/she serve on a key committee? What bills have they introduced? Main St., Jefferson City, MO 65101 All Missouri physicians, residents, fellows, medical students and Alliance members are invited to attend. Membership in MAOPS or MSMA is not required. PRELIMINARY PROGRAM Sunday, March 2 6:00 pm - Briefing via Zoom for Tuesday Event Tuesday, March 4 7:30 am - Check-In Begins & Light Breakfast 8:15 am - Welcome & Housekeeping with Light Breakfast 8:20 am - Guest Speakers: Senate President Pro Tem Cindy O’Laughlin 8:30 am - Shuttles to the Capitol Begin 9:00 am - Group Photo at the Millbottom 9:00 am - 2:30 pm - Legislative Appointments 10:00 am - Introduction in House of Representatives 11:30 am - 1:30 pm - Lunch available at the Millbottom WHERE DO WE MEET? WHERE DO WE PARK? Physician Advocacy Day will start at the Millbottom Event Center, just down the hill from the Capitol in the “bottoms” of the Missouri River. Watch for an all-brick building on the Missouri River side along West Main. You’ll spot a bike store in the same area. Parking is free and on the river side of the building. After MAOPS/MSMA’s presentation of the issues, we will arm you with handouts and directories. You can walk up to the Capitol or you can take the trolley.
